AGREEMENT ON DOCUMENT TRANSLATION SERVICES

Both parties agree to the following terms and conditions:
Article 1: Objective of the Agreement
This agreement concerns the provision and acceptance of document translation services from Khmer to English as attached in the appendix.
Article 2: Scope of Work
Under this agreement, the translator agrees to provide professional translation services to the client from January 02, 2026 to January 15, 2026.
Documents and materials to be translated include:
- Texts or documents from Khmer into English.
- Audio or Video from Khmer to English
All necessary source documents required for translation, such as reference materials or explanatory documents, must be provided to the translator.
The translator must ensure that the translated documents meet the highest standards of accuracy in grammar, style, format, and specific industry terminology, in accordance with professional translation practices, with full capability and clear certification.
Article 3: Timeline
The translation work shall commence on January 02, 2026, and the completed translated documents must be delivered to the client no later than January 15, 2026.
Translation shall begin only after receipt of the initial payment.
During the translation period, the translator and the client shall meet at least three times, or communicate via telephone, email, or agreed channels, to address any missing reference materials and to review the translated drafts.
If the client provides feedback or requests revisions, the translator must address such feedback.
If unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of either party affect the agreed timeline, both parties must promptly notify each other and work in good faith to revise the timeline.
If the translator fails to deliver the translation without valid reason, the client has the right to reduce the agreed payment or claim reasonable compensation.
Neither party shall be liable for delays caused by force majeure events such as natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, or government regulations.
Article 4: Agreement Price and Payment Schedule
The total contract price for the translation services under this agreement excludes VAT but includes all taxes and other expenses.
- Total Contract Price: USD 1,000 (One Thousand US Dollars)
- The client shall pay a 50% deposit on January 02, 2026.
- The remaining 50% shall be paid upon completion of the agreement on January 15, 2026, after the client accepts the final translated documents.
- The translator must provide a detailed invoice for all payments due.
In case of late payment, the translator has the right to suspend the translation services and may impose late payment penalties. If any payment is delayed for more than three days from the due date, the translator may terminate this agreement.
Article 5: Quality and Accuracy
The translator acknowledges that all translated documents must be of high quality and meet the requirements of relevant professional associations or government institutions, if applicable.
The translation must be performed consistently according to the translator’s understanding, with necessary language skills, subject knowledge, and cultural understanding.
The translator must make reasonable efforts to conduct necessary research, consult relevant resources, and seek clarification from the client when needed.
The client shall have reasonable time to review the work for quality and accuracy. If deficiencies are found, the translator must correct them according to client feedback.
Article 6: Termination and Consequences
This agreement may be terminated at any time by written mutual consent of both parties as stated in Article 4. Regardless of termination, the client is obligated to pay reasonable compensation for the translator’s actual labor and time spent.
Article 7: Miscellaneous
Amendments: Any amendments to this agreement, particularly regarding timeline and payment schedule, must be made in writing and agreed upon by both parties.
Notices: All notices and communications under this agreement must be in writing and sent to the addresses specified on the first page.
Severability: If any provision of this agreement is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain valid. Both parties shall make reasonable efforts to replace such invalid provisions.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution: This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
This agreement is made in two originals, one for each party, and shall take effect from the date of signing.

Cancellation Policy / Minimum Interpretation & Translation Fee
- Translation Services.
1.1. Cancellation Policy
- If you cancel or postpone an attendance within 48 hours of the time and date that it is scheduled to take place, you will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to the minimum translation fee payable. No printing expenses will be charged unless the document has incurred printing expenses in advance for translation. We will notify you when you inform us of the cancellation if such expenses have been incurred.
- If you cancel a translation while the translation processing, you will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to the minimum translation fee payable, consulting time, printing expenses or mileage incurred by the translators.
1.2. Minimum Interpreting Fee (as mention in contract)
- A minimum charge of one translation project will apply for all pages or words regardless of the actual translation completed for less than 5 pages.
- For a translation project that is booked for 10 pages, a minimum translation fee of 50% will be charged.
- For a translation project that is booked for 10 pages or more, a minimum translation fee of 30% will be charged.
- Face to Face Interpretation Services.
2.1. Cancellation Policy
- If you cancel or postpone an attendance within 48 hours of the time and date that it is scheduled to take place, you will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to the minimum interpreting fee payable. No travel time or travel expenses will be charged unless the interpreter has incurred travel expenses in advance for public transport. We will notify you when you inform us of the cancellation if such expenses have been incurred.
- If you cancel an attendance while the interpreter is travelling to or has arrived at the location of the attendance, you will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to the minimum interpreting fee payable, travel time, travel expenses or mileage incurred by the interpreter.
2.2. Minimum Interpreting Fee (as mention in contract)
- A minimum charge of one hour’s attendance will apply for all attendances regardless of the actual duration of the attendance.
- For an attendance that is booked for duration of 2 to 3 hours, a minimum interpreting fee of 2 hours will be charged.
- For an all-day attendance that is booked for 3 hours or more, a minimum interpreting fee of three hours will be charged.
- Audio & Video Interpretation Services.
3.1. Cancellation Policy
- If you cancel or postpone a video call within 24 hours of the time and date that it is scheduled to take place, you will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to the minimum interpreting fee payable.
3.2. Minimum Interpreting Fee (as mention in contract)
- A minimum charge of one hour’s attendance will apply for all attendances regardless of the actual duration of the attendance.
- If a video call concludes before the end time stated in the booking request, you will be charged for the duration stated in the booking request.
- If a video call should go past the end time indicated on the booking request, you will be charged for the full duration of the call.
- Telephone Interpretation
4.1. Cancellation Policy
- We also take this opportunity to remind you of our cancellation policy.
- If you cancel or postpone a telephonic attendance 24 hours before it is scheduled to take place, no cancellation fee will apply.
- If you fail to inform us within 24 hours of the telephonic booking that you no longer require the telephonic attendance, you will be charged a minimum of 30 minutes telephonic attendance time and if the booking is for longer than 30 minutes you will be charged for the entire duration of the telephonic attendance booked. You must call the Bookings Team at 24-7 Language Services directly, and not the interpreter to cancel any booking so that the cancellation fee does not apply.
4.2. Minimum Interpreting Fee (as mention in contract)
- A minimum charge of 30 minutes of telephone attendance will apply regardless of the duration requested at the time of booking the attendance.
- If a booking is made for longer than 30 minutes, you will be charged for the duration stated in the booking request regardless of how long the calls lasts on day of the booking.
- If you call the Interpreter later than the start time on the booking request, you will still be invoiced from the start time in the booking request.
- If the call should go past the end time indicated on the booking request, you will be charged for the full duration od the call.
- You should contact the interpreter using the contact number provided in this booking confirmation.
- You must be present at all times during the telephonic attendance and the interpreter should not be left to interpret alone over the telephone with your client at any time. At no time should the interpreter be asked to contact your client directly at his or her expense.
